For ppl can’t update:
1. Open ESS window.
2. Press F5
3. Scroll down to update in the setup tree and click it.
4. Look for "Edit" button at the update settings window which you must be seeing now and click it.
5. Copy and paste the update server address from the text file included in the rar. Click OK, click OK…

FIREWALL BUG SOLUTION:
Thanks, but i have a problem…
ive used the previous version until now, but when i installed the version 4.0 of Nod 32, my internet connection goes down…
Does anyone have the same problem?
Yeah, many people have the same problem. Its some bug in firewall modul. There is no oficial patch, but ESET is going to fix it in new version 4.XX. There are many forums where you can find something about this bug… I found and translated this:
Change your program to professional (extended) mode
Click on Detail settings of Personal Firewall*
In item Personal Firewall click click on IDS and more*
Here cross off Detection DNS and ARP poisoning attacks and then TCP and TCP Desynchronization*
*I use other language modification, so names of components will be similar, but not the same.
NOTICE:
1) If you had some previous versions of NOD AV or SS uninstall them before you try to install my version.
2) After uninstallation of previous version clear your registry.
3) If you used some NODlogin or something similar delete it before installation of my version. There be a problem with updates then.
4) DONT set any passwords or names from any sites or generatos. There can be problems with updates.
5) If you unistalled previous version, cleared registry just follow the GUIDE and use NEW SERVER.
6) Maybe you can have firewall problems. Look in to FIREWALL BUG SOLUTION. When you have this bug, there are also problems with updates.
